In the 4th quarter of 2006, Complyport expanded its operations by opening an office in Jersey in order to service clients located in the Channel Islands. The office is based in St Helier, the capital of the highly regarded international finance centre of Jersey.

Complyport are the first UK compliance consultancy firm to be given permission to establish an office in Jersey and are seen to be an important part of Jersey’s financial infrastructure.

The Jersey office, which is managed by John Pallot, services the funds, trusts and investment industries of both Jersey and Guernsey, whilst providing advice relating to off-shore status to London clients of Complyport.
John (55) is Jersey-born and a former Officer of the Jersey Financial Services Commission where he spent over 17 years before leaving to join Complyport.  Prior to joining Complyport, he had previously held a number of posts in the JFSC including Director of Compliance and Director of Securities positions. During his 17 years at the JFSC John has been fundamental in helping to shape the regulatory and legislative parameters now in use.

Our Jersey office can assist with establishing funds, seeking JFSC permissions, regulatory health checks, periodic compliance review and complex projects. The office can also advise on the re-locating of management operations to Jersey including applying for a business undertakings licence and individual residency status.
